Author Information

11-13 Whitworth Street West, Manchester, was home to so much more than just a club. A cathedral to the alternative, The Ha ienda was a sanctuary for people to come together to dance, to sing, to see and be seen. A city icon and a nationwide institution, FAC51 welcomed all and hosted performances from the most creative bands, performers, DJs, designers, authors, poets, outcasts and misfits of the time. The club closed its doors in 1997 but lives on in the form of nights and events hosted around the world.
