A Fulbright Scholar, Demi is the award-winning author of over 300 bestselling illustrated books, including Jesus, al-Ghazali, Rumi, Muhammed, Cyrus the Great, the Psalms of David, and Saint Francis of Assisi. Her titles have sold over five million copies. Gandhi and the Nightingale were named New York Times Best Illustrated Books. Major exhibitions of her work have been held in numerous museums in the US, including the Los Angeles County Museum and the Time/Life Gallery in New York City. Faria holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University. Faria currently works for Bayan Tours, an organization that curates travel experiences centered on Islamic history and heritage. She has been involved in numerous philanthropic and community outreach efforts. Yasmin Elhady is a mother, attorney, and comedian. She has spent her career in public service and can be found on social media connecting hearts and making people laugh.
