Reviews

This is wonderful. The planet and we need more Nancy! This book is so accessible and it reads as she speaks and it does as she does. It’s worth its weight in gold and so is Nancy. -- Gaby Roslin, broadcaster and author of Spread the Joy What a wonderful pick and mix of tips and tricks. Nancy has done it again! Since Nancy told me to use cereal packet liners, I haven't bought a single roll of cling film so I am excited to dive into all these hacks and tricks to save even more pennies. The five minute veg stock is RIGHT up my street! The win here is two-fold because it's great for the pocket and the planet so we all win. I keep my other Nancy books in my utility because that is often where I am when I think 'what would Nancy do?' -- Daisy Upton, Five Minute Mum From baking, to gardening, to organization, resourcefulness, and just her incredible energy . . . she creates art out of everything in her life, and takes so much joy in the process. -- Jonathan Van Ness, Queer Eye

Author Information

Nancy Birtwhistle is a Sunday Times bestselling author, lifelong gardener and Hull-born baker who won the fifth series of The Great British Bake Off in 2014. Motivated by protecting the planet for her ten grandchildren, Nancy decided to change how she used plastic, single use products and chemicals in her home. Sharing her tips online, she amassed an engaged international following of devoted fans interested not only in her delicious recipes, but also her innovative ideas and time-saving swaps that rethink everyday house and garden tasks to make as little an impact on the environment as possible. Nancy worked as a GP practice manager in the NHS for thirty-six years until she retired in 2007. She lives in Lincolnshire with her husband, dogs and rescue hens.
