His research interests include the politics of poverty reduction and social protection, alternative forms of poverty analysis, rights-based development and citizenship, NGOs and civil society, and the use of political analysis in development. Much of this work, including this collection, has been completed as a research fellow within the Chronic Poverty Research Centre (2001-2010).
