Ray Simms has a lasting interest in all things science. His earliest hobby was astronomy. He holds a Batchelor's degree in Earth Science and an M.Ed. in Science Education from Mercer University. He especially enjoys mineralogy and fossils. He recently found a fist-sized rugose coral assemblage from the ordovician in his back yard.
