Among her many bestselling Golden titles are The Sailor Dog, The Color Kittens, Mister Dog, Seven Little Postmen, and Home For A Bunny. Leonard Weisgard (1916-2000) frequently collaborated with his close friend Margaret Wise Brown. He was awarded the 1947 Caldecott Medal for The Little Island (Doubleday), written by Margaret Wise Brown under the pseudonym Golden MacDonald.
