His research explores the intersection of society, politics, and religion in the Hebrew Bible and ancient Near East. Dr. Stahl has published articles in such venues as the Journal of Biblical Literature, Journal of Ancient Near Eastern Religions, Ugarit-Forschungen, and Religion Compass.
