She is the pastor of Sandhill United Church of Christ, Aberdeen, North Carolina, and Allen Temple Presbyterian Church, Cleveland, North Carolina. Dr. McLaughlin has completed her Bachelor of Arts from The College of New Rochelle in New York. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Shaw University Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Presently she works with law enforcement as a victim advocate/law enforcement chaplain, and she continues to serve in her role as chaplain at Novant Medical Center.
