He has published essays, articles, and policy pieces for higher education in physics, psychology and religious studies. He is a member of the British Psychological Society as an occupational consultant with experience in developing and applying intelligence and personality profiling products. Before moving into psychology, his academic background was in philosophy and the natural sciences.
