He was born in Salem, Massachusetts and from an early age he has spent his life moving and traveling. Having changed schools nearly every year up until high school, he quickly changed from a shy introvert to an outspoken extrovert. Creativity is not only a fundamental part of his character... it is the fuel that keeps him going. Joey has always been fond of poetry and writing to express his thoughts and creations. After traveling with Up With People in the Worldsmart Program he was inspired to continue exploring the world. His life path and love for travel led him to the friendly skies where he has been a Flight Attendant for the past 15 years. With several million miles flown, traveling has helped him develop a unique firsthand perspective of the world and its many colorful cultures. In May of 2012, he and his wife Julie welcomed their daughter Elle into their family. She has been his inspiration ever since. Having spent countless hours reading books with her, his love for creativity called him into the children's books field. He has a strong desire to not only create characters children can love and relate to, but also characters that they can learn from. He hopes to bring lessons of love, acceptance, community, responsibility and compassion to our children so that they can grow and have fun doing so. Michael Ebensperger started drawing at an early age. Always encouraged by his parents, he continued to fine tune his skills taking art classes through school and university. Early on he enjoyed drawing dinosaurs, dragons, monsters and also picked up the styles of Stan Lee when drawing heroes and knights. During his second year of university, he was introduced to Japanese animation. Falling in love with many of the films and art, he picked up the drawing technique and design. Some of his favorite artists include Hayao Miyazaki, Todd McFarlan, Gary Larson, and Mercer Mayer. His goals are to continue growing his skills with digital art and to continue working with Joey Reynolds publishing future children's books.
