Author Information

Lyn Wells Clark resides in Middleton, MA where she and her husband, Michael, raised their family. Most of Lyn's stories are inspired by her own family. The Girl Who Loved Yellow was inspired by Lyn's niece, Catherine Doherty. Catherine loved the color yellow and also loved to dance. The Girl Who Loved Yellow dances through the colorful pages of the book carrying a dancer's ribbon. Lorena Mary Hart earned her BFA cum laude in Art and English from Bridgewater State College. Originally trained as a graphic designer, she has worn several hats in the field of art (display artist, art rep, and illustrator) while raising her daughters, and has in recent years been able to focus more on painting and design work. An opportunity to create murals for the Children's Museum of New Hampshire at the time of its relocation in 2008 inspired her to delve into creating on a larger scale, often for chlidren's spaces and illustrating children's picture books. She loves working with shape, color and design and especially the happy challenge of meeting the need and vision of a client.
