This science comic book is amazing!! For my own enjoyment and my 3rd grade class, we loved this book. You can tell the story is thoughtfully crafted with precise vocabulary that makes it easy to comprehend for any age. Beautiful illustrations that fascinated my students! Thank you to the author I can't wait for part 2!! I loved this book for my self-contained class! The pictures and language were perfect for my students and it is aligned so well with our curriculum and standards. It's great for all age groups and gives the students fun activities to complete outside. It also has great questions at the end that link to testing questions which I loved! My students love the pictures and even wanted to take turns to read it! Great book and highly recommend for every type of classroom! From it's opening pages, this book overflows with the passion and love that Ars has for this subject. His dedication to the reader is a loving gesture that communicates the motivations and philosophy behind this book: a love for the planet and for those who steward it. Ars' art is emotive, the pallet is inviting and gentle. His illustration reminds me of the way in which children see the world. My favorite moment of the art comes at a centerfold, with illustrations entitled ""Some Examples of Consumers."" On these two pages we see Ars style, which really captures a balance between simplicity and detail. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who has a love for the clean, simple basics of environmentalism, as well as anyone who wants to inspire and educate a child in their lives with a love for our planet!"
