Reviews

Every sci-fi nerd's dream! We have all contemplated time travel at one point or another. Dannelle/the writer takes us through those additional steps needed to bring general interest to a more specialized understanding of the ethics surrounding time travel and renewed curiosity in its possibilities for further study. The writer/She is able to kindly introduce high-level academic concepts to the reader via engaging metaphors that are easily grasped and facilitate an adventure through the 'impossible' physics of time travel while keeping things grounded in reality. -Morgan A. Turner Mrs. Shugart eloquently explains the possibilities of time travel. Through brief, extended hypothetical examples she makes time travel seem possible. She deconstructs the highly technical theories that surround time travel into illustrated concepts that the average person can entertain. She makes the impossible seem possible. -Denise Wright

Author Information

"The Future of the Impossible, the Physics and Ethicsof Time Travel is based on Dannelle Shugart's thesisfor the Georgetown University's Master of Arts inLiberal Studies program. She wrote it in part to givepeople who are interested in physics and time travel, but who are not scientists, a way to learn about andenjoy the topic.Ms. Shugart is not a trained scientist but believesthat much of the world is interconnected and thatto learn about science is to understand art better.Just as learning about mathematics allows a deeperconnection to music and so on. The more diverslyyou learn, the more fascinating and evident disparateconnections become. In addition to her interest in time travel, theauthor enjoys travel, cozy mysteries, parenting, entrepreneurship, photography, and lifelong learning. She also believes in the value of being ""weird"".She really hopes you enjoy this book."
