Author Information

Dr Oonagh McDonald has been a director of the Financial Services Authority and its predecessor, the SIB, since 1993. She is also a director of the Investors' Compensation Scheme, an advisor to HSBC, an Honorary Fellow of London School of Economics and editor of the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance. In addition she currently runs a management consultancy with major financial services companies, government bodies and the ICAEW amongst her clients. Her varied and distinguished career includes: MP (with Treasury responsibilities), Academic (Bristol University) and company director. She is the author of two books and many papers and monographs. Kevin Keasey is Professor of Financial Services at the University of Leeds and Director of the International Institute of Banking and Financial Services. He has written 8 books and more than 60 papers and is on the editorial boards of a number of journals; he has also directed several major research projects. He has extensive experience as a non-executive director with a number of companies and is also executive director of a management consultancy firm. Kevin has been an advisor to various governments and to a number of blue chip companies.
