Overview

The French Revolution in San Domingo, by American historian journalist, and political scientist, Dr. Lothrop Stoddard, was originally published in 1914. The work is Dr. Stoddard's very first book, and was popular during the time it was originally published, it was also his PhD thesis, which he defended at Harvard. The work is about the bloody racial conflict and genocide that took place on San Domingo (Hispaniola), during the 1790s and onwards triggered by the French Revolution and the Jacobin values of liberte, egalite et fraternite, which finally resulted in the republic of Haiti.
