Overview

Taken Hostage by a brutal regime, will they survive? Set in and around a group of villas, on a fictional Domaine, around 10 miles inland from St Tropez, the main events stem from a coup by the far-right candidate immediately following the French presidential election of 2030. The would-be president takes foreigners, including many British Francophiles, in the region hostage. However, the hostages are not quite as helpless as they appear, several have dark secrets in their past. Their old skills and experiences equip them, combined with local French patriots, for their attempts to defeat their captors. The Francophiles explores criminal behaviour, together with the circumstances and motives driving it.
