A brief but thorough explanation of the Bill of Rights is followed by the historical context of why the amendment was written by our forefathers. What makes this a solid choice for libraries is that the author details not only how the amendment evolved, but how it is applied today. . . .This informative series is a must for libraries needing to update their collections. It provides teachers and students with current, timely and balanced resources to make sense of the issues in today's fast moving news cycle.-- School Library Connection These attractive volumes deftly analyze the causes and effects of the respective amendments. Each offers a brief overview of the issue involved, such as the history of guns in colonial America, and proceeds to list and examine the reasons behind each amendment. . . .All of the books contain the entirety of the Bill of Rights. The writing is succinct, but the information is quite comprehensive. Nicely done accounts of the history of the Bill of Rights. A valuable addition to school and public libraries.-- School Library Journal
