Pierre Nepveu has received the Governor General's Award three times. His other awards include the QuÉbec-Paris Prize, the Prix Victor-Barbeau de l'AcadÉmie des lettres du QuÉbec, and the Canada-Swiss Prize. Nepveu was made a member of the Order of Canada in 2012. Under its original title, L’espace caressÉ par ta voix, The Four-Doored House was a finalist for The Grand Prix du Livre de MontrÉal in 2020. Donald Winkler is a filmmaker and translator. He is a three-time winner of the Governor General's Literary Award for Translation. His translation of Pierre Nepveu's The Major Verbs won in 2013. He lives in Montreal.
