OverviewIn September of 1963, twelve 'non-traditional', undergraduate Morgan State College (University) students had a slightly different perspective than the norm for college fraternities. 'Non-traditional' in that they were 4 or 5 years older than the regular students, went part time, had heightened responsibilities such as families and full-time jobs. They promoted the development of the 5 gold stars.... Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity and Brotherhood among men. They adopted the concept and motto of 'Building a tradition, not resting upon one'. This book takes an in-depth look into the development of this organization, and those responsible, from its birth to the present day. In the late 80's, he was the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Baltimore City Foster Care System. As administrator he was responsible for overseeing a 14.2 million dollar lawsuit on behalf of mal-treated foster children. Additionally, monitoring 700 foster homes throughout the city and retiring in 1992. Upon retiring as a Licensed Social Work Associate, he provided mental health services to Baltimore City School based mental health programs such as Universal Counseling Inc., Stith and Associates LLC and Hebron House LLC, all mental health clinics. Currently, he is a manager of Baltimore City for Medicaid Personal Providers LLC. In this capacity, he provides daily support in the management of both the Baltimore and Silver Spring Offices. Mr. Michael is a 1971 graduate of Morgan State University attaining a degree in mathematics/science.
