The improvement in dental health during this time served as incontestable proof that fluoride was working, and little thought was given to the possible harm it might be causing. Christopher Bryson is an award-winning Columbia Journalism School-trained investigative reporter and television producer. After reporting on Guatemalan Army human rights abuses from Central America in the late 1980s for the BBC World Service, he won a George Polk Award. He has reported for The Manchester Guardian, Lingua Franca, and The Discovery Channel.
