The Flower Girl is one of three novels I plan to publish. I hold a Master of Social Work degree and undergraduate degrees in social work and psychology. My experience working with adults with mental illness and in child welfare, combined with the completion of three novels, has honed my writing skills.The Led Zeppelin song ""Achilles' Last Stand"" had an unconscious influence on me as I wrote The Flower Girl. To me, enlightenment follows death. Myths and mythical figures such as Achilles, beliefs devised to make sense of the unknown, and faith are no longer needed.
