The East was chosen as the battleground, in particular the province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which borders the country.of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), bordering Rwanda, North Kivu, which has been torn apart since 1994 with the massive arrival of Rwandan Hutu refugees on Congolese soil.that have claimed millions of lives.The United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Monusco), a force of around ten thousand men tasked with providing a deterrent presence, has recorded 45 attacks on 30 villages in this province of North Kivu since May 2012. 30% of the rural population of North Kivu has taken refuge.
