Geraldine is a children's picture book about a female pig that enjoys going through her day finding new activities or getting into mischief. The narrative has a rhythmic thread from page one until the end. From pickles to corn, to passing dragonflies, this is a book that will keep your young one captivated all the way through. When a children's book focuses on a pig, I can't help but be reminded of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. There is such a wonderful innocence in this story that you can't help but smile your way through every page that you flip. The author also finds a way for those who are older to discover their kind of childlike innocence. C. Geraldine's The Five O'clock Pig is a delightful book that grabs you visually as you turn the pages. As illustrated by Peevee, there are moments in the storyline where different artistic mediums seem to intertwine. There's a humorous depiction of the pig mucking around in the mud in a dress that made me laugh out loud. For a children's book to elicit a laugh, a tear, or an emotion of any kind demonstrates that the creative ability of Geraldine as a writer is of a high order. This is a book that would be lovingly read and treasured by daycare centers through to early elementary schools and shouldn't be missed! 5 STARS ***** Reviewed by Readers' Favorite The Five O'clock Pig by C.
