Overview

Upon meeting Cavor, a physicist, Bedford, the narrator, becomes deeply intrigued by Cavor's work on a substance that will make spaceflight a reality. Herbert George Wells (21 September 1866 - 13 August 1946) was an English author now best known for his science-fiction novels, such as ""The Time Machine"", ""The First Men in the Moon"" and ""The Invisible Man"". Gerald McCann was a prolific illustrator who drew several titles and painted a number of covers for the Classics Illustrated series. George Woodbridge was an American illustrator best known for his long running contribution to MAD Magazine.
