Overview

I marveled as I recently watched a television program on the Monarch Butterfly. Somehow butterfly parents communicate through three generations of family the necessity of having their great grandchild return to the mountains of Northern Mexico or Southern California a distance of up to 2500 miles to ensure the survival of their species. In the human species it is the role of the family to link a child's past with his or her future. In my own family a couple of divorces have definitely limited my role in this important function. And while I recognize that just writing this book won't substitute for what should have been in my children's lives I pray that it might in some way at least, assist my grandchildren and great grandchildren-my Monarch Butterflies in finding their way!
