Overview
Starbright Stables riders Bess, Dot, and Lily are on a road trip with Dot's dad, veterinarian Dr. Ahmadi. Finally, they arrive at a farm. The girls are excited to greet chickens, cattle, dogs, and cats. They learn they are there to farm sit and take care of the animals while the owners are away overnight. The girls couldn't be more ready to help! They are even happier when they realize they get to stay in a barn that's like a fancy hotel inside. And the best part? Author Information
Kristen Humphrey grew up in a small town in southeastern Texas where she spent most of her days drawing and horseback riding. She has always shared her home with many different animals who have heavily influenced her artwork. Eventually she began taking on commissioned work which mostly included stylized pet and family portraits. While studying Visualization at Texas A&M University, Kristen became interested in children's book illustration and began using the skills and techniques she was learning to develop her own illustrative style. After graduating, she continued taking private portrait commissions and bringing her own imaginings to life on a daily basis. She enjoys working both digitally and traditionally and sometimes combines the two. When she is not drawing, Kristen enjoys dog walking, hiking, and horseback riding in her spare time Mari Bolte is the author and editor of hundreds of children's books. Every book is her favorite book as long as the readers learned something and enjoyed themselves!
