Overview

This autobiography follows early adult life of a newly disabled individual attempting to make it out on the real world on his own. Fighting the extreme circumstances, difficulties, and limitations of his new disability, the author discovers that the greatest battle is not against his compromised visual and physical state of being but against the carelessness and indifference of those he encounters. The book depicts the unseen struggle that was and is recovering from an extended coma, a seemingly endless cycle of rehab, and ultimately trying to find a place in a world which so easily overlooks those with permanent impairments.
