The Faith of Jesus Christ represents an attempt to grapple with one of the most perplexing problems in Pauline studies, namely that of the phrase pistis christou. Michael F. Bird (PhD, University of Queensland) is lecturer in theology at Ridley Melbourne Mission and Ministry College in Australia. He has published several articles on the linguistic background to the gospels and the Gospel of Mark and is the author of Jesus and the Origins of the Gentile Mission. Preston M. Sprinkle (PhD, University of Aberdeen) is associate professor of biblical studies at Eternity Bible College in Simi Valley, California. He is the author of The Gospel of Luke: Brill New Testament Exegetical Commentary.
