The Fairies of Inishowen: Tara the Earth Fairy

Overview

The Fairies of Inishowen is a heartwarming children's picture book series written by 10-year-old author Keira Geraghty. Each story follows a different fairy who helps children understand and navigate big feelings such as jealousy, worry, sadness, and feeling left out. Through gentle storytelling and beautiful illustrations, the fairies guide young readers toward kindness, empathy, and compassion. Each fairy represents one of the elements of nature and uses her unique magic to help children see problems in a new way and discover the power of helping others. The series includes four magical stories: - Tara the Earth Fairy - teaching children to care for the world and for each other. - Enya the Fire Fairy - helping children find courage and strength during difficult moments. - Isla the Air Fairy - bringing calm thoughts and hope when worries feel overwhelming. - Shannon the Water Fairy - showing how understanding emotions can help friendships grow stronger. Written in a warm, lyrical style that children and parents can enjoy together, The Fairies of Inishowen encourages young readers to believe that even small acts of kindness can make the world a better place. Perfect for bedtime reading, classrooms, and social-emotional learning, this series reminds children that kindness, empathy, and helping others are the most powerful magic of all.

Órna N. 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book for young kids Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 31, 2026 I picked up Fairy Enya for my 7-year-old niece and was honestly surprised by how good it is. It's a really gentle, thoughtful children's picture book that talks about big feelings like jealousy and frustration in a way kids can actually understand. The fairy story and illustrations keep it magical and fun, but there's a strong message about empathy and kindness underneath it all. My niece was properly engaged and wanted to talk about the story after, which doesn't always happen with kids' books. It's a great bedtime story and feels like one of those books parents will be happy to read more than once. Definitely recommend it for young kids, especially ages 3-7. Eddie Phelan 5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful addition to a child's bookshelf Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 14, 2026 Even though my granddaughter is less than two I bought the first 4 books for her bedtime story. They are beautifully presented and the imagery really seems to be catching her attention! She has yet to decide who her favorite is! A lovely Irish cultural addition to her developing bookshelf!
