As a young boy of 14 who was shipped from his home in Czechoslovakia to a ghetto and from there to six of the most notorious concentration camps, and who lost most of his family of 13, Dr. Avital has much to tell and dwell upon. His observations and conclusions are delivered with poignancy and authority, supported by his firsthand experiences in the Holocaust and his educational background. Dr. Avital, a recognized authority in education, pursued his higher academic and Judaic studies at Yeshiva University where he graduated with honors and received a B.A. and M.S. in Education, and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Literature. For half a century, he held prestigious positions in the field of Education. He is the author of eight other books.
