Jerome A. Miller is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Salisbury University, USA, where he taught for 37 years. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, including the Maryland Board of Regents Award for Teaching Excellence. His previous books include The Way of Suffering: A Geography of Crisis (1988) and In the Throe of Wonder (1992).
