Anne McCrary Sullivan Anne is an avid paddler, Florida Master Naturalist, Professor Emeritus of Interdisciplinary Studies (NLU), Fulbright Scholar, and former Poetry Editor of the English Journal. Her book publications are Ecology II: Throat Song from the Everglades (WordTech Editions, 2009) and, with Holly Genzen, Paddling the Everglades Wilderness Waterway (Menasha Ridge Press, 2011). She has articles, chapters and poems in many publications including the Harvard Educational Review. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Warren Wilson College and a PhD in English Education from the University of Florida. Holly Genzen Holly is a Florida Master Naturalist and an outdoor education specialist. She has a Masters in Outdoor Education and a PhD in Educational Administration. In 1995 she took a year’s sabbatical from teaching 5th grade to do a solo thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. During the past decade she has focused her attention on the water wilderness areas of south Florida and has co-written a guidebook for the Everglades Wilderness Waterway, an effort that required extensive research into the social and natural history of the area (Paddling the Everglades Wilderness Waterway, Menasha Ridge Press, 2011).
