The Essentials of Prayer: Prayer That Accomplishes Much

Overview

Second Chronicles 7:14 states what is required to have a right relationship with God, if we desire for God to hear us and revive our souls. It says, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (KJV) If there has ever been a need for such a surrender and prayer it is now.

Author Information

John BJ Hall has been in Gospel ministry since he was 19 years old in 1969. His first pastorate was at a little country church near Southwest City, Missouri, on the Oklahoma side of the line. He pastored two bi-vocational churches before the Lord opened a door of service at First Baptist Church, Adair, Oklahoma where he was the full-time pastor. He spent most of his ministry in northeastern Oklahoma, pastoring churches in Adair, Webbers Falls, Depew and Sapulpa. Finishing with a short term as bi-vocational pastor at a small church in Tulsa Oklahoma. In January of 2001 BJ surrendered to fulltime evangelism and has devoted most of that ministry to music evangelism. The ravages of bipolar disorder took a toll on him since he was a child and he was unable to preach from 2001 to 2009. Since that time he has seen tremendous changes in treatment of his condition and has returned to preaching evangelism. He sees his ministry as more of a revivalist than an evangelist. It is his philosophy that when the church of God sees true revival evangelism will be the natural outcome.
