Author Information

Barbara Mitchell is an author, speaker, and human resources consultant. She is coauthor of The Big Book of HR, The Essential Workplace Conflict Handbook, The Conflict Resolution Phrase Book, and The Essential HR Handbook. Most of her HR career was spent with Marriott International. Barbara is managing partner of The Mitchell Group and an innovative career transition coach. Cornelia Gamlem is an author, consultant, and speaker. She is founder and president of the Gems Group, a management consulting firm that offers human resources and business solutions. An influencer to the business and HR communities, Cornelia has been quoted in major publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Fortune, the New York Times, Forbes, CEO Magazine, the Globe & Mail, Fast Company, the Chicago Tribune, and Newsday. Karen Saltus has narrated television and radio commercials, audiobooks, textbooks, multimedia, film, and voice prompts for interactive telephone applications. She began her career thirty years ago at a radio station in Portland, Maine. She later became a creative director for a station in Massachussetts. In 1994 she became a full-time freelance voice-over talent.
