Lujan-Garcia's work is also valuable for her critical comments and strong claims about the role of English and English language teaching in the present era of globalisation. This text should be of interest to researchers working in this discipline, students of applied linguistic courses and teachers of English at all educational levels as well as to anyone interested in the impact of English and Anglo-American culture on Spanish language and society. - Eliecer Crespo-Fernandez, RESLA 26 (2013), 505-509. This is a thought-provoking publication. It opens up a whole new line of research in Spanish academia that has the potential to eventually become a major study area. Th e book may inspire many a new researcher, as it points towards interesting avenues for investigation in the sociolinguistics of English in Spain. - Eva Codo Olsina, ATLANTIS: Journal of the Spanish Association of Anglo-American Studies, 32:5 (December 2013), 233-237.
