The End of Jim

Overview

A modern re-telling of a classic 1957 nuclear apocalypse story! Meet Jim-lonely survivor of his small town in a world recently shattered by nuclear war. Haunted, Jim sifts through wreckage of his life before facing his final days on a desolate beach, accompanied by the thoughts and memories of his previous life, and the pain of the irradiation. Both terrifyingly descriptive and horrifyingly captivating, ""The End of Jim"" is a not a zombie-apocalypse thriller, or a tale of survival, but rather a story of victims, and their reactions to an event they never thought would come.

The End of Jim is his first work of fiction. Brooks O'Hara grew up as a military dependent, residing in eight states and in Europe. Following graduation from Florida State University, he relocated to Texas to begin his 40-year career in Human Resources and Leadership Development for several large public and private companies. After relocating to the west coast of Florida several years ago, Brooks wrapped up his career working for a small hospitality group on Anna Maria Island and started writing. Brooks and his wife, Vickie, who have completed several historic home restoration projects, now live in a restored 1890-era home on the Manatee River with their three loving dogs. Over the course of his career, Brooks has endeavored to serve, to strive, but never yield
