The story follows Angel, a uniquely magical cloud deer born in the mystical Skylands-a hidden realm of soft clouds and twilight hues floating high above the mountains. Unlike the other cloud deer, Angel moves differently, almost floating above the clouds, a sign that she is born ""between two worlds."" Blessed by the Moon and shimmering with stardust, Angel is destined for something beyond the peaceful life of the Skylands. Despite her struggles to fit in with the other fawns, she cherishes the secret connection she feels to the vast sky and the ancient hum that seems to call her, promising a destiny to bridge the realms of earth and sky. One night, Angel receives a mysterious whisper from the North Wind, the oldest and most powerful of the winds, signaling that the balance below-the Earth-is shifting and in need of help. Though she has never seen the world beneath the clouds, Angel feels a strong pull to answer this call. Guided by the whisper and her own glowing antlers, she steps beyond the familiar cloud paths into unknown skies, crossing the Edge where the Skylands fall away into the vast, vibrant world below.
