Author Information

Rev. Dr. Shelly Sims was born to John Robert and Lillie Bell Sims. Raised by his older sister Alice Hill, Sims graduated from Gainesville High School, becoming a Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army, where he served thirty-four years. He later received multiple degrees, including a D. Min. at United Theological Seminary and a M. Div. at Interdenominational Theological Center, where he graduated in the top five percent of his class. Now as the CEO and founder of the street ministry Pathfinders, Rev. Sims works to create opportunities for the disadvantaged. Rev. Sims is a native of Gainesville, Florida.
