OverviewEmotional leadership is a concept that was developed primarily for management in the economic sector. With the help of certain leadership styles and emotionally intelligent skills, managers aim to generate resonance, i.e. positive feelings or moods, among their employees, which should ultimately lead to better and higher work performance. However, this concept has so far found little application in educational institutions, even though it is well known that efficient classroom management is a basic prerequisite for successful teaching and a good learning atmosphere. During nursing training, trainees take on the role of a student, but also that of an employee, and emotions play a central role in the nursing context. This thesis therefore specifically addresses the question of whether the concept of emotional leadership can be integrated into classroom management in nursing schools. The ultimate goal is to develop guidelines for the implementation of emotionally intelligent classroom management for nursing educators, which will also benefit nursing students.
