The Elders' Book of Cherishing: Coming Back to the Vision at the Beginning of the Lord's Recovery

Overview

This book mentions a part of the history of the ""local churches"" under Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, who spent many years together serving the Lord, mainly in China. Word concerning them would come to a small group of believers in America who were favorably impressed with what they heard regarding their view of Christ and the church. In 1962, Witness Lee would be invited by John Ingalls and others to come to LA to help them enter into the vision and practice that Lee had done with Nee in China, endeavoring to raise up local churches meeting on a ground of oneness with other believers for an expression of God and testimony of Jesus. After many years of mutual bonding in the Lord, in 1990, a book was written by Brother Witness Lee and Living Stream Ministry that would feature a description of a time of turmoil and division in the late 80s. And, John happened to be portrayed in a most negative light as the ""ringleader of a rebellion"" against him. John Ingalls wrote a book in response called Speaking the Truth in Love, also in 1990, and it changed my life when I read it in 1995. I drove down to Southern CA and met the so-called rebellious ones. They should be heard.
