Overview

This book investigates the relationship between revenue surprise in current and future stock return. It has studied the relationship between current period earning surprise and stock return which includes accepted companies in Tehran stock exchange and also chemical industries, automobile industries, basic metals and electrician devices, during 2005-2011. Usage of multiple linear regression based on cross section and time series data has studied.Stock price reaction in the earning announcement period is significantly associated with the current revenue surprise after controlling earning surprise interest result. It shows that relationship between the stock return and revenue surprise in earning announcement period is significant. Also results indicate that relationship between past earning announcement is not important. Except for the third hypothesis, the results of this research are consistent with result of Jegadish and Livant(2006).

I attended Zahedan State University in accounting in 2005 and graduated in 2009. I took my M.S. degree in accounting 2012. I have worked both as an accountant and a financial manager since 2010. As an accountant, I worked in Simin Kesht Company from 2010 to 2012. Since 2012, I have been working in Fooladazin Factory as a financial manager.-------- Seyed Mohammad Hosseini Fard: I was born on February 26th, 1984 in Jahrom, Fars province Iran. I finished my high school and pre-university stages there. After finishing high school, I attended Islamic Azad University, Shiraz branch in Translation Studies in 2004 and graduated in 2008. I found a number of vocations related to my field, one as a translator for a Steel local company, and the other as an English teacher. And now, I am studying in Fars Science and Research Branch University to get my M.A. degree in Translation Studies and keeping on the mentioned vocations.
