Prior to joining the Spartan community, she was an associate professor at The University of Alabama (UA). Throughout her career, she has dedicated her research, teaching, and service endeavors to working with others in solving real-world problems of educational practice. She has authored or coauthored articles that have appeared in Educational Leadership, Journal of Technology and Teacher Education, Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education, Teacher Education and Special Education, Journal of Staff Development, Phi Delta Kappan, Exceptionality, Intervention in School & Clinic, Teaching Exceptional Children, Focus on Exceptional Children, Preventing School Failure, Education & Treatment of Children, The Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions, Journal of Behavioral Education, Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities Journal, and Career Development and Transition for Exceptional Individuals.
