Sandy Fischer's experience as a preschool teacher coupled with her child psychology classes allowed her to gain insight into how children process emotions. Her debut book, The Dreaming Butterfly, helps the young reader realize that it's okay to be happy again after a tragic event. Sandy resides in St. Louis with her husband and large shelter dog. They have two adventurous and creative daughters. When she's not spending time with her family, which includes fifteen nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews, Sandy can be found reading, baking, or volunteering.
