Author Information
Jason Porter Collinsworth is a well-known breeder, author, and musician in the budding cannabis industry. He has been featured in the East Bay Express, The Cannifornian, the Sacramento News and Review, Good Times Santa Cruz, The Stockton Record, the San Diego Jewish Journal, and News21. Collinsworth began working with cannabis in 1996 while attending UC Santa Cruz but only seriously focused his efforts in 2011. After contracting a rare disorder that nearly took his life, Collinsworth had to medically retire from teaching high school English, producing the biannual drama performances, and coaching the league-winning girls soccer team. He then founded Love Genetics and initiated innovative, specialized breeding programs designed specifically to combine high CBD and high THC cannabis genetics. Collinsworth's genetics are known worldwide and are featured on the largest and most comprehensive genetics database, seedfinder.eu. Collinsworth used his experience and research in the field of cannabis to write The Unrevealed Series, a trilogy about a cannabis breeder turned superhero. He also released a poetry anthology entitled Tearing Apart a Whisper, a cannabis dictionary called The Doobieous Dictionary: The A-Z Guide to All Things Cannabis, and the cannabis party games guide, High Jinx: Cannabis Party Games & Activities, along with his debut cookbook, Women Love a Man Who Can Cook. Under the stage name of The Gateway Affect, Collinsworth and his wife, Summer Dazed, recently dropped their first hip-hop/pop album, Cali Grrrl, and are currently working on their second project. Collinsworth continues to produce music and write while living in Central California with his wife, two kids, and four cats.
