OverviewIt may come as a surprise that there were as many as the 250 British generals featured in this book active in the War: In fact there were more than 750. The less important - or less interesting - have of course not been included. The longest entries are naturally on the major figures such as Brooke, Wavell, Auchinleck, Slim and Wingate, but there is considerable information on all those included gleaned from primary and secondary sources over many years of painstaking research. A great reference work but also marvellous to dip into. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Richard MeadPublisher: The History Press Ltd Imprint: Spellmount Publishers Ltd Edition: UK ed.
