Foreword by Pranav Khullar Note on Translation Introduction The Diary of Manu Gandhi 1943-1944

Reviews

Tridip's effort at providing the English translation of Manu's diaries is praiseworthy. He has taken utmost care to remain faithful to the original meaning of the words while translating the Gujarati text to English. The translation does not omit anything from the source. The editorial notes provide the context as well as biographical details of persons mentioned in the diary. These notes help the reader to better understand the entries in the diary. Tridip's elaborate introduction of almost 50 pages is an indispensable tool to read the diaries of Manu and to broaden our understanding of Gandhi, albeit through the lenses of Manu Gandhi. * Banzelao Teixeira & Lawrance Vincent, Divyadaan *
