Ron Base has been writing the Sanibel Sunset Detective series of novels for the past twelve years. Previously, he wrote for newspapers and magazines in the United States and Canada. He also reviewed movies for the Toronto Star, Canada's largest newspaper. He and his wife Kathy divide their time between Milton, Ontario, and Fort Myers, Florida, not far from Sanibel Island.
