Overview

The adventurers from the previous volume, entitled Chaos Marches on Pareo, must now race black necromancers the length of the Unknown Lands in a desperate bid to reach the High Temple of Minerva, which is located on an island just offshore from Wabash, the capital of the Kingdom of Waroo. The black tome will continue broadcasting its offer of unholy power to all who are dark enough to seek such power. The party already knows of one black necromancer who is after that power. How many others will join the race to capture the book for their own nefarious ends? Who will Kasten, Nienna, Brandi, Gilvar, Rovang, and Sgt. Tibbs have to fight in their desperate flight to the one place on the planet where the book can be destroyed before mages and priests of the Gods of Darkness can claim the book and its unholy powers? Nick, Drogar, Torvak, and Zilmex have already lost three friends and comrades in the previous book. How many more are they willing to lose? What will be the price for destroying the book, and will they be willing to pay that cost?
