The Descendants of John Stubbs of Cappahosic, Gloucester County, Virginia, 1652 This rare genealogy has chapters on the family in England, and the early Stubbs immigrants to America, but the bulk of the work consists of a male line genealogy of John Stubbs of Gloucester County, Virginia, who is believed to be the progenitor of all the Stubbs families of the southern United States. Some female lines are carried down two or three generations, and there is a final chapter with data on a number of other early Virginia families including Baytop, Booth, Boswell, Carter, Catlett, Coleman, Robins and Taliaferro.
