Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr Jeffrey Spencer is a former Deputy Keeper of the Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan at the British Museum. He first worked on fieldwork in Egypt in 1970 as a member of the Egypt Exploration Society expedition to North Saqqara, directed by Professor W. B. Emery. During the following 45 years he has directed excavations at El-Ashmunein, Tell el-Balamun and Tell Belim for the British Museum, and carried out numerous site surveys for the EES Delta Survey, most recently in 2014-15 at Tell Buweib in Daqhaliya Province.
